We are temporarily closed under national lockdown restrictions. Both treatments and Spa Days will be open at a date tbc (once reviewed and confirmed by government).

At this stage we are not accepting bookings for individual spa treatments or Spa Days until 1st June.

Please book treatments in advance of your visit as at this delicate time we will be planning the team based on secured bookings in the diary.

We ask guests to book and prepay online prior to your visit to minimise contact points.

If you need to postpone your booking, don’t worry, please reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advanced if you cannot attend, feel unwell or display any symptoms of Covid-19.

We can assure you all measures are in place to offer a safe environment to both you and our team.

• Fairlawns Hotel & Spa Covid risk assessment in place audited by an external health and safety body.

• All the team have completed

o Flow training covering Covid 19: Staying Safe, Cleaning and Hygiene

o Barbicide Covid-19 Qualification in infection control.

o A daily health declaration and temperature check on arrival

• Fairlawns team will be wearing PPE including gloves, mask and/or visor and disposable apron to perform your treatment. This is for your safety and that of your therapist.

• Protective screens are in place at reception deception desks.

• Enhanced cleaning regimes throughout the spa and in treatment rooms between appointments, sanitiser available at entry and desk points, laundry programmes meet thermal disinfection standards.

• Additional items such as blankets and magazines are unavailable in communal areas, magazines can be accessed on your own mobile devices at fairlawns.media

A safe environment

Your visit - Spa Treatments

We are staggering arrival times, please arrive a maximum of 10 minutes prior to your appointment time, if you are early we may have to ask you to return as we are limiting guests in our waiting areas. Following your appointment we will offer a drink and you can relax for up to 20 minutes, if you wish to stay longer you are welcome to visit the Fairlawns Bar & Lounge.

If you are late for your appointment, please note we will have to reduce your appointment time as the diary has been managed to include increased sanitation.

Please follow social distancing guidelines on arriving and departing the spa, your therapist will talk you through the procedures for your treatment as these will vary.

On arrival you will be required to sign a health declaration confirming you have had no symptoms of Covid 19 within the last 14 days have your temperature checked.

On entry to the spa we will ask you to use gel sanitiser, when arriving and leaving the treatment room you will be asked to wash your hands if appropriate.

As always we use fresh couch coverings and rooms are thoroughly sanitised between each treatment.

We ask that you wear a mask during most of our treatment, you may be more comfortable wearing your own should you not have a mask we can supply one for you.

Ideally please do not bring any excess belongings such as coats into the spa with you. Please bring your own bag to store the items you may need to remove for the treatment.

If you or anyone in your home presents with any covid-19 symptoms within 14 days of your booking please follow UK government guidelines and inform us as soon as possible.

Your visit - Spa Days

During this time we all appreciate everyone’s efforts to respect peoples space and relaxation. Thank you in advance for your help and consideration, high standards keep us safe. Please consider these additional points for your safety and that of your fellow guests.

Arrival:
The team are here for you so if you feel uncertain about anything just ask. We ask all guests to have their temperature checked, use sanitiser and complete a health declaration.

We have limited numbers and ask guests monitor their usage times of each facility within the socially distancing guidelines. If you feel you have not had chance to use something, please don’t hesitate to advise a member of the spa team and we will help remind guests when their time is up.

Thermal Rooms, Hot tubs, Sauna and Steams

All our facilities are open- please follow the capacities and the seating points in each facility to ensure social distancing (even if you are a couple or part of a group please observe capacities and seating points to avoid confusion to other guest). Wipes are available to wipe down seats and we recommend sitting on a towel. Please note the infra-red sauna does not require tokens – please observe the maximum usage time of 30 minutes for your own health and safety as this is an intense treatment.

We ask guests monitor their usage times of the facilities within the guidelines and in fairness to all. If you feel you have not had chance to use something, please don’t hesitate to advise a member of the spa team and we will help remind guests when their time is up.

At approximately 12pm, 3pm and 6pm we will spray down the facilities to ensure they remain hygienic. We will try to work around guests however may ask for your cooperation at these times stepping out for a minute should you be using a facility. Thank you in advance.

Online Magazines
Whilst we do not have magazines available whilst with us you have full access to our online media suite with 100s of magazines, games, news and more visit fairlawns.media on your phone or tablet.

The Dipping Lane
We have a lane marked in the pool called our ‘dipping lane’ perfect for quick dips (15 mins) and for access to our bubble pool. Please use this lane for your party as many times as you like. The bubble pool is limited to two socially distancing guests or one party of guests up to a maximum of six.

Swim & Gym If you do fancy more of an extensive swim, up to 45 minutes, please book a swimming slot with spa or club reception on arrival (subject to availability).

If you would like a gym session of up to an hour please book with spa or club reception.

Grazing Bar
Let us serve you – we have changed the format and will be reserving you your own table on arrival for use during the day. A team member will be available to serve drinks, morning snacks, lunch and afternoon snacks. We look forward to looking after you.

Treatments
Please wait at your spa table before any spa treatments and the therapist will collect you.

Classes: With regret, we are unfortunately unable to offer classes to our spa guests due to social distancing guidelines.

Changing rooms
For the time being we aim to limit the number of guests in the changing rooms to five at a time and ask you to minimise changing times as much as possible. Hairdryers are not permitted at this time.

If the changing room is busy when you wish to use it please alert a member of the team who will be happy to liaise with other guests and find out how long they will be, and get you a drink whilst you wait, or arrange you another changing area.

Poolside coffee Bar No inclusive refreshments are available from the poolside coffee bar, for water and drinks please visit the spa grazing bar.

Towels
You are encouraged to sit on a towel at all points during your day, please swap towels for fresh towels with the spa team.

Hydrotherapy Access
You will be provided with a card to access the hydrotherapy suite, please hand this card in at the end of your visit.

Hands, Space, Face
We recommend following government guidelines during your visit and regularly washing hands or using sanitiser.

Face coverings are required on arrival and recommended when moving from facility to facility. You are not required to wear them whilst using a facility but are welcome to do so.

We recommend using wipes before and after using a facility. We provide wipes, soap, sanitiser and regularly spray facilities to ensure they are disinfected.
